Environmental Lights recently had the pleasure of illuminating a stunning Oceanview Estate in Los Angeles. The homeowners underwent a dramatic renovation of their 1920s property with one of the goals being to use low voltage lighting throughout the property – both for indoor and outdoor applications. Updates included installing downlighting fixtures, linear accent lighting, and a wide variety of wall sconces and other fixtures. We are proud to have helped construct such a technologically advanced smart home while preserving much of its original architecture.
The REVI Low Voltage Lighting system from Environmental Lights lies at the heart of this estate. Our REVI 12 Channel Power Supplies are centrally located and provide low voltage power to downlighting and linear lighting fixtures. These include our REVI LE1 3-inch fixtures in main spaces such as the living and dining room, a variety of linear lighting products found under cabinets, countertops and integrated into display shelves, and wall wash downlight fixtures highlighting statement pieces throughout the home.
In addition to REVI fixtures, the owners opted to use some third-party fixtures that would ideally be powered by low voltage as well. The reason for this was to complement the original architecture with chandeliers, light switches and other fixtures that would be true to the period when the home was first built. Environmental Lights embraced this challenge and provided Studio DMX decoders to enable low voltage power to flow seamlessly to every fixture in the home.
REVI downlighting fixtures in this residence feature smooth dimming down to 0.1% and can be controlled with switches, mobile devices, or voice commands when paired with a home assistant. The ease with which lighting can be adjusted allows individual spaces to be instantly transformed to create an ambience that best fits the desired mood.
Ultimately, this home was the combined result of the homeowners' unique vision for their property and the efforts of our team of lighting experts.
