Infrared Lighting for the UHE™ – Telehealth Platform
UHE is Caregility’s telehealth video platform that provides secure, reliable two-way audio and video communication designed for any device and for any clinical workflow, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The UHE telehealth platform was designed to facilitate convenient access to quality virtual care in any clinical setting.
Our client was building the medical interface devices and required a very reliable solution to enable healthcare professionals to see patients over a remote video connection. Infrared (IR) light was required by the camera in order to see patients in low-light situations. The solution had to fit into a custom form-factor on the device and needed emitters which would match a specific wavelength in order to be visible with the infrared camera in the device.
The Environmental Lights team worked with the client to analyze all the challenges, then created a customized infrared LED strip light specifically for this application. Our team assembled lengths of infrared strip light to meet the specification and added special connectors to make installation simple.
