Dual end powered T8 LED retrofit kits are the most popular because most existing fluorescent luminaires are dual end powered, so retrofitting them is easier. This Viribright Benchmark T8 LED linear retrofit kit (LRK) has a patent protected Dual Redundant Safety Switch (DRSS) that is designed to prevent electrical shock during installation and retrofit of existing fluorescent fixtures. Installation is simple and requires only the ballast removal and simple re-wiring. The patented design prevents any electrical current from energizing the light tube before it is completely installed in the standard G13 shunted or non-shunted sockets. UL listed.
