MR16 bulbs (16/8 = 2 inches in diameter) generally use 12 volts AC or DC and are used for track lights, down lights and task lights in a variety of locations. The ones marked dimmable dim nicely on the dimmers indicated as companion parts. Viribright and Toshiba tend to have the lowest price per lumen. Halco has the brightest bulbs and best dimming performance. Bulbrite MR16s are waterproof.
