What does RoHS mean?

RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. It is the standard that protects the environment and people from materials known to be harmful, including lead.

What does lead-free mean?

Lead-free means literally "not one atom of lead." When Christmas lights are made, they either have fairly high concentrations of lead or virtually no lead.

Why are people concerned about products containing PVC?

They are worried about lead content. SOME PVC contains lead, and some does not. When we say our lights are lead-free, we are stating they do not contain leaded PVC.
