Dimming notes: Highly recommended: LED/CFL dimmers. Be sure you adjust the low-end trim control to remove undesired behavior when using Lutron Diva (DVCL-153P) or Skylark Contour (CTCL-153P). We saw 8%/29% (measured/perceived) in our tests. Lutron Credenza plug-in lamp dimmer (TTCL-100H) has no low-end trim, and will dim the bulb to around 22%/47%. Some magnetic dimmers also work nicely. Lutron Diva (DVLV-603P) and Skylark (SLV-603P) work, but you should get the less expensive LED/CFL Diva (DVCL-153P) or Skylark Contour (CTCL-153P) instead.
For wireless control dimming, the Lutron Maestro (MRF2-6MLV) is great at 4%/19%. If you have more than 10 or 12 bulbs on the circuit, get the higher wattage, higher cost specification-grade (MRF2-10D-120). Neither one requires a neutral wire. All the Electronic Low Voltage dimmers we tried worked well except a wireless one, but they tend to be more expensive and require a neutral wire in the dimmer's gang box, which some older construction does not have available.
