Since the diffuser is removable, it is easy to orient the diffuser to be sure the beam pattern corresponds to the feature you desire to illuminate. Remember to adjust the rotational angle of the diffuser once you've installed the bulb. This is a very unique lens (diffuser) and can create spectacular effects. The beam pattern is pictured below.
